Introduction

Barnes High Street and Church Road is a great example of a resilient and well-loved street. Our tour made it clear that this is a street that has a strong Town Team which works well with the local authority and listens to the feelings of its members and the wider community. It is a great example to study for streets that have a busy A road running through and how intelligent changes can deal with the issues that arise.
