The Urbanism Hours are virtual lunch time events that explore a given theme within the built environment, with two speakers and a Q&A discussion.

January's Urbanism Hour will look at the role of transport in placemaking. With speakers Hannah Atkins and Matthew Hunter from Markides Associates.

Transport plays a fundamental role in how our public places are designed and feel, but too often highway designs result in car dominated environments and poor-quality spaces. By following a ‘Decide and Provide’ planning approach, we can begin to create better places. Matthew and Hannah’s presentation will discuss the background to the concept and how they have begun to successfully implement this.

This event is virtual and will take place via Zoom. The link will be sent to ticket holders in advance of the event.
