Kevin Murray is a highly experienced town planner and urbanist with a specialism in facilitating stakeholder and community engagement in plans and strategies. With over 30 years’ experience in the fields of planning, regeneration and urban design, he worked in local government in London and was a director of two international multi-disciplinary consultancies before establishing KMA 20 years ago.

A strong believer in the philosophy of placemaking and enlightened place management Kevin helped create The Freiburg Charter on Sustainable Urbanism by facilitating a hands-on workshop of AoU practitioners in Freiburg.

In Ireland has contributed to the visioning on Dublin CIDR project, the Derry Walled City Initiative, Belfast Cathedral Quarter regeneration, and the Cities on the Rise for Cork City Council. He led online engagement during Covid on the Cobh Waterfront Masterplan and supported the recent visioning sessions in Galway.

Kevin will be speaking as part of the Galway Charter session on Thursday 27 April.
