Fabienne Plieger is a city ambassador for Utrecht and a project management consultant with a strong drive to make cities more inclusive, healthy, and people centred. With a background in Social Policy & Public Health and experience at RIVM and the municipality of Tilburg, she enjoys working where policy meets everyday life. Fabienne is especially interested in how social and political systems can better serve people, and how small, practical steps can lead to meaningful change at the societal level. She believes real innovation begins with listening — especially to those who experience the issues firsthand every day. Fabienne is drawn to projects that bring diverse voices together to create impact that truly matters. For her, healthy cities are built collectively: by involving the people who know their neighbourhoods best, working across perspectives and disciplines, and putting community at the heart of every decision.
Fabienne will speak as part of the Utrecht: The story so far session on Wednesday 11 June
