Cedric Ryckaert is a dedicated teacher at Sint-Paulus Primary School in Kortrijk, Belgium, where he focuses on sustainable development, outdoor learning, and playful education. Passionate about connecting children with nature and climate-conscious values, he played a key role in transforming the school’s concrete playground into the Klimaatspeelplaats—a vibrant, climate-adaptive learning and play environment.

This innovative project earned the prestigious New European Bauhaus Award in the Education Champions category and was instrumental in Sint-Paulus being named among the Top 3 in the World’s Best School Prizes for Environmental Action by T4 Education. Cedric continues to inspire through hands-on learning and a strong commitment to ecological education, helping shape a new generation of environmentally conscious learners.
