Ana Gallego is an urban researcher who designs data-driven strategies for healthier, more inclusive, and more joyful cities. Focused on urban innovation, she draws on a multidisciplinary background in urban studies, technology, and environmental health to advance both urban and planetary health.
Her work has been recognized by institutions such as the New European Bauhaus, the Mostra di Architettura di Venezia, the Kosovo Architecture Foundation, the Timișoara Architecture Biennale, MODEL / BCN Architecture Week, and the LINA Platform 2022, which selected the 25 leading emerging thinkers and researchers in architecture and urbanism across Europe.
She is currently Lead Urban Designer and Researcher at IAAC’s Urban Sciences Lab, where she heads consultancy projects that develop innovative solutions to complex urban challenges. In addition, she teaches in the Master in City and Technology (MaCT) and the Maestría en Urbanismos Próximos (MaUP) programs, with a focus on data analysis, design, and innovation in urbanism.
