Do you love urbanism? Do you fancy a long weekend in Europe with a group of passionate fellow urbanists? Can you ride a bicycle? If have answered ‘yes’ three times – read on!
The Young Urbanist Cycle Trip returns for 2026, this time exploring Kraków and Katowice in Poland. Over the long weekend, the group will cycle around and in between both cities, hearing from local urbanists in each and connecting with an enthusiastic group from the AoU community.

*Please note this doesn't guarantee attendance, and spots will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
Outline itinerary
Thursday 11 June: Arrival to Kraków in evening
Friday 12 June: Full day in Kraków
Saturday 13 June: Cycle from Kraków to Katowice
Sunday 14 June: Full day in Katowice
Monday 15 June: Morning in Katowice, trip ends early afternoon
Important info:
The estimated cost of this trip is £350-£450, which includes accommodation and bike hire. Travel to Poland is arranged by the individual participant.
Attendance on the trip is confirmed with a £100 deposit, with the remaining balance paid in instalments.
Accommodation typically involves shared rooms.
