Indian Urban Futures 4: How Eco Homes Can Contribute to Sustainable Urbanisation
An event organised by the AoU, UDG, Buro Happold, Connected Cities and the URBED Trust looking at sustainable housing and urbanisation in the UK and India as part of the Bristol Housing Festival

What sustainable housing challenges do Bristol and the south of India have in common? Miles apart and with radically different demographics and geographies, these two regions are both faced with the challenge of providing sustainable, affordable homes. In this webinar, the URBED Trust and their partners discuss these issues in the context of the SCAD URBED Eco Home in Tirunelveli, India, and consider how to address climate change and inequalities in mid-sized cities.

The fourth in a series of events on this theme, this webinar delves into financing, designing, building and occupying sustainable homes as well as establishing thriving communities in these two regions. It emphasises climate change as a global problem that must be tackled by acknowledging the commonalities as well as the differences in cities across the globe. This session will include Q&A.
