The Academy of Urbanism is looking for a Programmes Organiser to join our team, with a specific emphasis on the programme of activities, events and comms.
About the Academy of Urbanism
The Academy of Urbanism is an independent network that celebrates and learns from great places and the people who shape them. We create connections and share knowledge to influence and support towns and cities to thrive.
The AoU brings together individuals working in the many disciplines and areas across the built environment sector, offering a programme of activities including site visits, discussion forums, and talks from renowned and emerging thinkers, leaders, and practitioners.
About the role
We are looking for someone to help run a range of organisational activities, with a strong focus on events and communications. Responsibilities include organising and delivering both in-person and online events, handling post-event reporting, and managing comms and website content.
The ideal candidate will have experience in event organisation, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a conscientious, resourceful attitude. Willingness to travel and stay away overnight is required, along with the ability to work well in a small team. Presentation and design skills are a bonus.
