Registration Assistant – event volunteer

As a small team, the Academy of Urbanism welcome the assistance of Young Urbanist volunteers at our major events, in exchange for a free ticket. Volunteers will not be needed at all times during the day and are encouraged to enjoy the rest of the event like any other guest.

This year’s Urbanism Awards events on London City Island is one of our biggest in-person events since 2019 - with architecture tours, our Learning from Europe session, drinks receptions, and the ceremony. Registration Assistants will work with AoU team to welcome our guests to this event, during two main registration windows (12:30 – 14:00 and 16:00 – 17:00). Attendees will be joining from across the UK and Europe, many new to the Academy, and we want to make sure the wheels run smoothly from the moment they arrive at the event!

Duties include:

  • Signing in guests and giving them badges / wristbands
  • Coordinating with tour leaders to help make sure groups go out on time and smoothly
  • Answer questions from guests
