The Academy of Urbanism seeks a determined person to shape the organisation and its activities over the coming years.

The Academy of Urbanism is a politically independent, not-for-profit organisation that brings together both the current and next generation of urban leaders, thinkers and practitioners.

Our mission is to understand, promote and celebrate what makes great places and to apply these lessons to the improvement of towns and cities across Europe and beyond.

We do this through an informative, lively and active programme of events such as The Urbanism Awards and our Annual Congress, as well as bringing people and organisations together outside of their professional silos.

The Academy was founded less than 20 years ago, but in that time we have established ourselves as a leading advocate of place-making and the benefits deriving from good practice.

Help us deliver on our mission

We are looking for a new Managing Director to lead the Academy into its next phase as we seek to raise our profile, expand our network, and influence better place-making.

They will oversee the implementation of our mission by shaping our learning programmes and working with our network of members and external collaborators.
